Reaching someone who has never texted you goes over SMS, and that is what the plan limit counts: Starter ($49/mo) 250 first-contacts a month, Growth ($249/mo) 1,250, Scale ($749/mo) 10,000.

After 14 days, choose a plan to continue sending. Your account stays active and you can still log in, view message history, and upgrade at any time.

The limit only applies to reaching someone who has never texted you. Once you hit it, nothing else stops: everyone who has texted you stays reachable on iMessage, with no cap. And a first-contact does not have to come out of your allowance at all — when someone scans your QR code or taps your Text Us link, they start the conversation themselves and it costs nothing against the limit.

Yes. Upgrade or downgrade instantly from your dashboard. When you upgrade, you get immediate access to the new plan's limits. When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.

Reaching a phone number that has never texted you. That goes over SMS and counts against your monthly limit. If instead they contact you first — by scanning your QR code, tapping your Text Us link, or simply texting your number — it costs nothing, and from then on you can message them on iMessage as often as you like.
